The Blue Letter is a weekly letter from MinieMoney: one idea worth holding onto about money, savings, dignity, and the quiet work of building a financial life in Nigeria.
We believe money should be discussed, not dodged. So we made a letter you can listen to. On the bus, while cooking, or in the five minutes before sleep, Wendy reads it to you. Calm. Clear. Honest. No hype, no jargon, no urgency.
MinieMoney is a family finance app built for Nigerian parents and teens. This letter is the slower, deeper side of that same voice.
What we believe

Five hundred naira, set aside before you can spend it, changes who you are. The amount matters less than the act.
- 2The lessons start at seven.
Children form lifelong money habits earlier than we think, yet most families never teach them at all. We teach them to read and to code; we should teach them to save.
- 3Plain words beat jargon.
Finance got confusing on purpose. We write the way people speak. If a sentence needs a dictionary, it doesn't make the cut.

Money moves through families, not individuals: allowances, school fees, shared dreams. We start the conversation every week; families finish it at the dinner table.
